Sunday 5th MARCH’s vibration (5+3+2+0+1+7) = 18/9. 9’s energy takes centre-stage today, with 1 and 8 adding their flavours, too. Because 9 is the final single digit in the root essence family, it naturally completes cycles of experience. But it also initiates new cycles, because after 9 comes 10 and a whole new cycle of experience begins. So the 9 teaches you that you must be prepared to let go of the old and embrace the new and allow the natural completion of one cycle as another new one begins. We know that often the letting-go process can be painful, but the energy of the 9 naturally cuts away dead wood for you today, and ends situations that no longer facilitate the fullest expression of who you really are. 9 reminds us that through letting go of the past we can evolve and gain wisdom. Focus on this gain today, rather than the apparent loss of things that have come to pass.
The main intention of 9’s vibration is to promote natural evolution. Evolution is a process of moving through experiences, learning from them, and then letting them go so that you can move ahead to further experiences. Knowledge becomes wisdom over time, and we know that the ancients knew how 9 governs the cycles, or rather, spirals of time in the Universe. is also known as the Humanitarian, altruistic vibration: The 9 knows that true fulfillment and self-nourishment comes from giving loving service to humanity. It has high ideals because being the final single digit it naturally symbolises completion, perfection and attainment.
The 9th card in the Tarot is The HERMIT. The Hermit is standing on top of a mountain, holding out her lamp of reflected ageless wisdom to the rest of humanity. She has attained, and evolved through the cycles of growth that 9 completes. The Hermit has detached from the pettiness and density of the material plane by focusing on the task and goals she has set for herself and by looking at all obstacles as opportunities for growth, experience, and ultimately wisdom.
The Hermit can be portrayed as a wise old woman or man, the key theme being one of learned wisdom. But the negative aspect of age can be expressed by rigid stubbornness and an unwillingness to accept or entertain new ideas and perspectives of life. The Hermit is really our timeless inner teacher, the aspect of ourselves that records everything we have learned throughout our many lifetimes. A true teacher never stops learning and is always open to being questioned and offered a fresh perspective on life, and this is the attitude that you must take on board when 9’s energy is expressed.
9’s vibration enables us to spread and multiply the light but in so doing we must be willing to sometimes sacrifice personal needs for others. 9 teaches the lesson of forgiveness, that through forgiveness, we can let go of attachments that create conditional giving and pave the way towards unconditional love. Detachment is the key: only by having no attachments can we begin to tap into the realms of unconditional love, so 9 plays the role of the observer, taking a step away from the emotional self, and the world of reactionary communication, and watching the emotions from a detached perspective.
This is a key thing to remember when we consider today’s number vibrations in relation to the Tarot symbolism. The 18th card in the Tarot is The MOON, and here we can see we have a great opportunity to balance the male and female aspects of our psyche, as symbolically, the Sun expresses the outer, Male energy of Solar light, while the Moon expresses the inner, Female, receptive energy of Lunar light. Again we are being urged to move beyond polarity-consciousness towards unity-consciousness, to merge the left-brain and the right-brain. But the issue is that there may be a lot of work involved with trying to bring them into balance, or trying to see which mental direction is the correct one to follow in the moment.
We see these two polarised aspects in symbolic form as the two pillars on the left and right sides of the Moon card. We also see the polarity of the Wolf and the Dog, wild and tamed, or free and controlled! But the path of evolution leads through the MIDDLE WAY! So the themes of Balance again, are paramount.
The Moon rules our subconscious, and when we are sleeping under the moon, our subconscious rises up from the underworld and fills the mind with symbols and emotions that hold deep meaning and insight for us, we just need to know how to decipher them! Keywords for 18/9’s energy are reflection, influence and intensity. The Moons’ light reflects our emotions to us clearly, and spotlights what and who are really influencing our lives, thoughts and decisions. So, with the Moon card amplifying our emotions, there could well be some emotional turmoil that is distracting and confusing to you today. The best advice when the Moon card appears is detach…and sleep on it! Although nothing may make much sense to the rational, objective mind right now, your subconscious intelligence is speaking to you and the power of a revelatory dream is at hand.
So the energy of 18/9 is all about using the inner light to reflect into the darkness, the lower aspect of the 8 here, to investigate the subconscious mind, the dream landscape and dimension that gives us symbolic information about what influences us. It’s a great idea to start a dream diary today, enabling you to form an accurate library of symbols from your dreams that can give you great insights in the waking world. We also have the 1 energy here to help you focus and gain mental clarity.
Pythagoras called the 8 “Light and Darkness”. We can submerge ourselves in the density and greed of the material realm, in the lower half of the 8, (the dark aspect), or we can move up to the spiritual realms of light that exist above the material, symbolised by the top circle of the 8 symbol. So, while this might well feel intense and uncomfortable, the 8 is really seeking balance, and is urging us to accept and be responsible for all aspects of ourselves. Acceptance. And Responsibility. And REFLECTING on our differences and polarities, but also on our shared aspects, and the knowing that we ALL pass through the centre and unite as ONE. This is how all the numbers in today’s date total play out: 9,8 and 1. 8’s energy pulls us out of density on her magnetic slipstream and gives us a glimpse of the cycles of cause and effect that give us a clearer and deeper understanding of how our thoughts and actions, our karma, create our experience.1’s energy influences us to action, and aligns our will and intent with our own inner divine self.
9’s energy here is giving us the power to let go and surrender, accepting that life is a cycle of endings and beginnings, and not letting the past influence our decisions and actions. Reflection refers to the Lamp of Hermes that 9 symbolises, the inner light of wisdom expressed outwards by the Hermit in gratitude and empathy. Only by going within does the Hermit truly illuminate the darkness.
The Moon card is intense, but is showing us that when we let go of ego-(fear) driven influence, impulses, thoughts and actions, we can see things as they really are. 18/9 makes us sensitive to the body’s needs; the body consciousness speaks to you today and will let you know that it needs regular exercise, fresh air and retreats away from the daily grind in order for you to feel vital and healthy, a perfect recipe for a Sunday!
Enjoy your day everyone! And if it’s your birthday or anniversary today, then this vibration stays with you for the year as your Personal Year vibration! Go well! Rosalind Pape.
